On a lush Corsican estate, Adeline joins the Hive, a sorority of pregnant women devoted to a single purpose: sustaining a constant supply of breast milk for a centuries-old prophet believed to hold the secret of immortality. But behind the apparent harmony of this idyllic community lies a far more gruesome truth.
As a new member of the Hive, Adeline is eager to feel accepted by the other pregnant women of her sorority. Sheltered on a lush Corsican estate, the sisterhood devotes itself to a single purpose: sustaining a constant supply of breast milk for the Shild, a 124-year-old prophet believed to hold the secret to immortality. When Adeline uncovers her friend’s ill-fated secret, the illusion begins to crack. What once seemed like an idyllic community reveals itself as a gruesome matriarchal cult. Heartbroken by distrust and alienation, she is confronted with a chilling question—whether escape from this carefully constructed paradise is even possible?

Clara Milo
Clara Milo is a Montreal-based filmmaker whose work most often gravitates around environmental fiction, wherein the sublime may arise through the characterization of Nature. In March 2021, she won Denis Villeneuve coup-de-cœur award for her short film Aska, and has just released her second and even stranger science-fiction film Himalia on ARTE.
