Born in Canada to a Uruguayan mother and a Croatian-Argentine father, Katherine spent her childhood in Belgium and her teenage years in Uruguay. In 1995, she moved to Montreal to study film at Concordia University (B.A. and M.A.). Since then, she has directed several experimental and narrative short films, a video installation, and, most recently, her first feature film. She has also served as a producer and production manager on her colleagues’ projects. It’s best not to ask her where she’s from; the answer would be very long and a bit confusing. Her home is cinema.
