Raymonde Provencher is a political science graduate with a 30-year passion for current affairs. She helped launch Télé-Québec’s Nord-Sud in 1983, and co-founded Macumba International productions in 1995 with colleagues Patricio Henriquez and Robert Cornellier. She has roved the world, exploring the many international conflicts ravaging the globe. From War Babies (winner of several Gémeaux in 2002) to A Senseless Death (2008), Blue Helmets: Peace and Dishonour (2007) and Grace, Milly, Lucy… Child Soldiers (2011), which tells the little-known story of girl soldiers, the director exposes the tragedy of women victimized by horrific war crimes. Crimes Without Honour (2012) testifies to the profound courage of three women and one man who are standing up and taking action against honour crimes.
