Les Films du 3 Mars (F3M) currently has a catalog with over 250 titles and essentially distributes Canadian produced films of all genres and lengths; primarily feature documentaries. 20 years in the making, F3M has had films selected and rewarded in Festivals such as Sundance, Berlinale, Cannes, Rotterdam as well as the Toronto International Film Festival and Hot Docs.

 

In a nutshell, F3M champions those tiny precious gems that deserve some love.

And with a bright light, we propel them into the world.

IN ORBIT

In Orbit is a documentary comedy about the nightmare of tax havens. To further inspire her theatre project Hidden Paradise with Marc Béland, Alice (Alix Dufresne) embarks on an initiatory journey to understand offshore capitalism. Alice’s research begins in Montreal with Alain Deneault and leads her to teleport to different tax havens by navigating through the subsidiaries of a Montreal wealth management firm. This journey will make her meet, among others, a sociologist of the ultra-rich, investigators and Dutch detectives working on the hidden assets of oligarchs, among other things. Alice will confront politicians in Brussels, then go track down the companies of her own real estate owner in Montreal. Finally, Alice and Marc will present their new flamboyant and committed work in a grand premiere at the Prospero theater.

Told as a story, La méthode scandinave (The Scandinavian Method) is a socially conscious road movie, a travelogue rich in stimulating ideas, expressed by strong characters rooted in reality.
