Les Films du 3 mars is proud to announce that the two filmmakers it represented this year at the prestigious HOT DOCS Festival, as a distributor, were rewarded. Carlo Guillermo Proto (Resurrecting Hassan) and François Jacob (A Moon of Nickel and Ice) were honored at the Festival Awards ceremony on Friday night in Toronto.

Canadian Feature Documentary
Resurrecting Hassan won the Grand Prize for Best Canadian Feature and the Student Award at the 2016 Montreal International Documentary Festival (RIDM). Since then, the film has been selected in numerous international festivals: IDFA, Göteborg IFF, Guadalajara IFF, Cartagena IFF and CPH Dox. The film will open in Quebec on September 22, 2017.

A Moon of Nickel and Ice by François Jacob
Emerging Canadian Filmmaker Award
Sur la lune de Nickel (A Moon of Nickel and Ice) had its World Premiere last month at the Visions du Réel festival in Nyon, Switzerland. The film continues on its way to Vancouver where it will screen at the DOXA festival in the presence of the filmmaker. It will open in Quebec on October 2017.
