Synopsis

Fat, thin, fit, or decrepit, naked bodies come out of the closet in the kingdom of clothing. But rather than make love, they garden, they cook, they do taichi… Are they trying to regain the lost freedom?

Davyd Tousignant

Davyd Tousignant studied Communications at the Université de Montréal. He worked as a journalist and host in several TV channels and media in Quebec, France and Africa. As a filmmaker, he directed several documentaries and fiction shorts, including one for UNESCO. In 2008, he covered the United Nations' Millennium Development Goals in West Africa realizing a series of ten television reports. In recent years, he was part of international cooperation projects in Congo, South Africa, Cuba, Senegal, Mali and Mauritania. Since 2009, he directs films with Tomi Grgicevic. Their first feature documentary Simplement... nous was selected at the Festival du Nouveau Cinéma 2010, their second film En attendant Charlot at the Rendez-vous du cinéma québécois 2011, and Survivre et vivre at Festival des Films du Monde 2011 and also at Rendez-vous du cinéma québécois 2012. Tomi Grgicevic

A native of Slovenia and settled in Montreal since 1993, Tomi Grgicevic started in cinema with few 16mm projects during his cinema studies at the Université de Montréal. Subsequently, he directed several documentaries and short fiction films.In 2003, his film Bager was nominated for Jutra award in the category Best short film in Quebec. His short films were screened in many festivals in Europe and Canada. In 2011, Migizi won the Innovation Award/ National Film Board of Canada at the Rendez-vous du cinéma québécois.
