Andrew Przybytkowski

Born in Arizona to Polish parents, Andrew Przybytkowski grew up mostly in Montréal up in Canada. A wise person once said that home isn’t where one was born, but where all one’s attempts to escape cease. Andrew finds himself at home in imaginary worlds experienced on film sets, while writing or on his bicycle. The Bingo Sisters is his second short film in which he pursues his trademark approach to storytelling where humor, tragedy and fantasy intersect to reflect on human nature. His stories are existential but candid, an intentional contrast that echoes our existence. He studied musical composition at the Conservatory and Finance at University, which left him wondering what was scarier: the failings of our financial system or those of institutionalized conceptual art? He worked various artistic disciplines within the entertainment industry: film, music, theater, modern dance, advertisement and video games. Bringing all this experience to fruition, he is now directing and producing films. He’s been lucky enough to meet talented people who were ready to work with him, as the director is only as good as his collaborators are. His favorite letters which apply to alphabet cereals and soups are the following in that order of preference of taste: AZEXKWOYTUPLSMQJIBVCHRDFGN.
