Murdochville,1957. A family is forced to move, as the father, pained by a long miners’ strike, finds a new job in the city.

Alexis Fortier Gauthier

Filmmaker Alexis Fortier Gauthier is the director of After All (Après tout), which won the Genie for Best Live Action Short Drama in 2008, as well as the award for Best Canadian Short Film and the Kodak Award for Best Cinematography in a Canadian Short at the 2007 CFC Worldwide Short Film Festival. He graduated from many filmmaking programs in Quebec, including the CEGEP François-Xavier Garneau, l’Université du Québec à Montréal, and l’Institut national de l’image et du son (INIS).
